Worst in gown award goes to Miss Austria Julia Hofer. The design of her gown is so 1700s and looks like Julia is off to do some Viennese Waltz instead of competing at the Top Model contest. Sure, there have been lots of odd designs at the contest but this one stands out that to the mop like skirt and busy overlay. The chocolate color just added more reason why we should all hate this gown.

The Best in Gown award goes to Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos Colmenares. In case you haven’t heard about the story, the gown drew inspiration from Barbie Doll. The king of beauty pageants, Osmel Sousa, reportedly asked for a design that evokes the fantasy world. The pink color brilliantly stood out from the crowd in a way that doesn’t hurt your eyes. Designer Nick Verreos is all praises for this creation but as the Miss World host complained, it’s really a big dress to get around with.

The Worst in Swimsuit award goes to Miss Bermuda Jana Lynn Outerbridge. Her body is out of proportion because it appears that her body frame seems to be too large for her head. Blame her coach and stylist. What she should have done is to sport a hairstyle wherein her hair will have more volume. Complicating the matter even further is Jana Lynn’s big thighs and relatively small breast.
The Best in Swimsuit award goes to Miss Philippines Gwendoline Ruais. Flat stomach, curvaceous hips, statuesque figure and a super smooth complexion all combined to bring a feminine figure crafted by the heavens. Add the fact that Gwendoline sported a rather skimpy bikini which is way too skimpy, the Brazilian bikinis will be put into shame.

The Worst National Costume award is for Miss St. Barthelemy Johanna Sansano. In the screen grab, Johanna appears like a Dutch peasant girl circa 1600. The costume is drab, simple, lacks imagination and well, Johanna is barefoot! She looks like she got lost or gone insane onstage.
The Best National Costume award goes to Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos Colmenares. This is a very sexy take on the Amazonian costume. The costume is colourful, simple yet imaginative, sexy yet relevant. The costume evokes an unrefined civilization yet retained a feminine touch.
