Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup and Miss World 1st runner-up Gwendoline Ruais together with boxing sensation and pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao received their awards during PeopleAsia's People of the Year Award.

The January issue of People Asia sported two covers which are sold separately. One with Shamcey and Manny on the cover while the other with Gwen and Manny. The contents of both issues however are exactly the same. PeopleAsia Magazine awards exemplary Filipinos who brought honor and pride to the Philippines. The awarding ceremony was held in January 19 at the Dusit Thani hotel in Makati.
