So many stunning beauties but Miss Russia Org chose a plain one
Like last year, fans from across the world have a lot say about the results of Miss Russia contest. But not in a positive way. The winner is beautiful alright, but the according to the critics, the Miss Russia organization did not choose the right girl. Normally one has to be sceptical of long-distance observations – people can be wrong about a beauty queen especially if they solely rely on what they see on the internet. But we have learned from last year’s results. Natalia Gantimurova should have been replaced by Miss Kazan Ekaterina Sushakova – an opinion shared by many fans all over the world right after the conclusion of Miss Russia 2011 contest.

Be a judge - who sparkled the most?
But this year’s contest is a bit better. At least, Missosology-Russia’s predicted winner Alena Sishkova is the second runner-up. Since Miss World is earlier than Miss Universe, is it possible that Miss Russia 2012 Elizaveta Golvanova will compete at Miss World and allow the fan favorite Alena Sishkova to participate at Miss Universe? More like the Vera Krasova-Ksenia Sukhinova arrangement. It was after all a win-win scenario. Ksenia brought home the Miss World crown while Vera is on the Miss Universe top 5. The only question is - will Miss Russia Organization really send Alena to Miss Universe? If you want that to happen, you can sign the online petition created by Missosology forumers. CLICK HERE!
Still, the lingering question is, how come the Miss Russia Organization for two years in a row appears to be not in the mood to choose the best woman to wear the expensive crown? Alena Sishkova, we reiterate, is the predicted winner of Missosology-Russia. She ended up as second runner-up. In an article written hours before the finals, Missosology-Russia said the crown is a toss-up between Milana Makeeva of Moscow and Kristina Gontar of Zheleznodorozhny. Unfortunately, Milana was not even in the Top 15 while Kristina became first runner-up. The winner, Elizaveta, was not even in Missosology-Russia’s Top 10 although it must be pointed out that many forumers predicted her to become first runner-up. Is Russia getting terrible in picking up the winner?
Meanwhile, superstitiously speaking, there is a cloud of bad omen hanging over Miss Russia. Look at the video how the crown suddenly fell off from the not-so-favorite winner.
It seems like the crown suddenly jumps off by itself considering that Elizaveta just standing still, barely moving at all. One forumer pointed out that the pearls are supposed to represent outstanding qualities of a Miss Russia. After the most expensive crown in the beauty pageant world fell down, the left side pearl was no longer attached to the crown. Is it possible that some of the diamonds also fell off.

You can still see the pearl hanging at the left side of the precious crown (above). After it fell down, notice that the rare pearl is no longer there (below)

Anyway, fans couldn’t help but draw parallels as well as to be superstitious so as to jump into a conclusion that this is a bad omen. Is it the decline of Miss Russia? Maybe. But it is not so much about the crown falling down by itself. It is more about how Miss Russia Organization snubbed the stunners in exchange for Plain Janes
