As part of our ongoing series of Beauty Talks, interviews with the contestants of Miss Universe 2011 - We present to you today the ravishing Miss Spain - Paula Guillo.

Paula Guilló Sempere (born July 6, 1989) was crowned Miss España 2010, the official representative to Miss Universe 2011, on September 25 2010 at a gala event in the city hall square of Toledo, Spain. Born in Elche, Guilló received the crown from the hands of María José Ulla, Miss Spain 1964.

We caught up with her couple of weeks back, here's what we discovered more about this bonita.

1. Tell us something that many people don't know about you.
That, not a long ago, I was be awarded with a grant in a Sport Centre as a volleyball player. My main aim was to make headway the most on volleyball, but not leaving my studies.

2. What's inside your bag right now? My cellular, my wallet, my keys and a gloss

3. Name three things you can't live without.
I can't live without my family, my friends, the beach and the sport.

4. If you are given three wishes, what would it be and why?
I am very aware of the horrible moment that Japan goes through, after the earthquake. So my first wish would be to blot out this disaster and its consequences. My second wish would be for Spain. My country is going through a delicate situation. I know a lot of families which are suffering, without employ, fighting, but with less and less resources. So I wish with all my effort that this situation improve and that all the people who are suffering could find the happiness in a better situation than now. And the last of the wishes I would keep for me. I would wish to keep the illusion to make things and to daily fight in order to obtain my aims without becoming weak.

5. What is your favourite dish and why?
I love Pasta Bolognese, because my grandmother cooked it for me when I was younger. Now I can't eat it without remember my childhood.

6. How would you describe Spain to your fellow Miss Universe contestants?
Spain is a place where the people are marvellous. Is a very beautiful country, consists of natural and lovely places, full of contrasts between beach and mountain, and where the gastronomy is spectacular.

7. Name three qualities that you think will make you the Miss Universe 2011.
Charisma, self-confidence and my desire to improve

8. Describe the town where you grew up.
I grew up in Elche, which is a very peaceful town. It is a small but with resources city, where you can enjoy the beach, the sun and everything necessary to enjoy the day to day. Undoubtedly, Elche is an excellent place to grow up. I have been a very fortunate girl.

9. What's your fashion style?
My daily fashion style is very simple and youthful. I always adapt my costume to the situation I am. But I bet on a casual concept; comfort and naturalness, always it could be possible.

10. What was the one big mistake that you did in your life? And what did you do to make it right?
Some time ago, I gave up to a personal challenge that I considered important. Over time, I realised that this decision was a mistake. With that past occasion I learned that the tenacity must be one of the constant features in my life. Nowadays, is harder to make me desist when I think that something worth it.

1. Cuéntanos algo que la gente no sepa sobre ti.
Seguramente no mucha gente sepa que no hace mucho tiempo, estuve becada en un Centro de Tecnificación Deportivo como jugadora de voleibol, donde el primer objetivo era rendir al máximo en mi deporte, pero sin abandonar los estudios de bachillerato.

2. ¿Qué hay en tu bolso ahora mismo?
El teléfono móvil, la cartera, las llaves y un gloss.

3. Nombra tres cosas sin las que no puedas vivir
Mi gente, la playa y el deporte.

4. Si puedes pedir tres deseos y te fuesen concedidos, ¿cuáles serían y por qué?
Estoy muy sensibilizada con el duro momento que atraviesa Japón tras el terremoto, de modo que mi primer deseo sería borrar esa catástrofe y sus consecuencias. La situación que atraviesa España en estos momentos también es delicada. Conozco a muchas familias que lo están pasando realmente mal, sin empleo, luchando con cada vez menos recursos. De modo que deseo con todas mis fuerzas que esa situación mejore y que todos los que lo están pasando tan mal puedan encontrar la felicidad en una situación mejor de la que viven en estos momentos. El último de mis deseos lo reservo para mí. Pediría mantener la ilusión por hacer cosas y las fuerzas para luchar a diario por mis objetivos sin desfallecer.

5. ¿Cuál es tu plato favorito y por qué?
Macarrones a la boloñesa, porque mi abuela me los hacía cuando era pequeña. Ahora no puedo evitar disfrutar del sabor de ese plato sin unirlo al recuerdo de mi dulce infancia.

6. ¿Cómo les describirías al resto de candidatas a Miss Universo tu país, España?
Un lugar donde la gente es entrañable, formado por espacios naturales con gran encanto, llenos de contrastes entre playas y montaña, y donde la gastronomía es espectacular.

7. Nombra tres cualidades que tú pienses podrían hacerte ganar Miss Universo 2011.
Carisma, seguridad y afán de superación.

8. Descríbenos la ciudad en la que te criaste
Elche es una ciudad tranquila, pequeña pero con recursos, donde puedes disfrutar de playas, sol y todo lo necesario para disfrutar del día a día. Sin duda un sitio excelente para crecer. Soy una afortunada.

9. ¿Cuál es tu estilo de vestir?
Mi estilo es juvenil y sencillo, a diario. Voy adaptando mi vestuario siempre a la circunstancia en la que me encuentre. Pero apuesto por un concepto casual; comodidad y naturalidad siempre que sea posible.

10. ¿Cuál es el mayor error que has cometido en tu vida? Y ¿qué hiciste para solucionarlo?
Una vez me rendí ante un reto personal que en su momento me parecía importante. Con el tiempo aprendí que eso era un error, de modo que aunque esa situación ya es pasado, he conseguido integrar en mi personalidad el tesón como una de mis constantes en la vida. Ahora es más difícil hacerme desistir cuando creo que algo merece la pena.
