In this Episode of the Beauty Talks we bring to you the vivacious and jolly Kerstin Cook, Miss Switzerland Universe 2010.

Born to English parents, Cook has been working as a model since age 15. A biology student and sales associate in Kriens, she's also an avid sportswoman, practicing athletics & inline skating. She's been dating FC Luzern player Silvan Büchli since 2007.

Cook, who stands 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in) tall, competed as one of the 12 finalists in her country's national beauty pageant, Miss Switzerland, held in Zurich, where she obtained the Photogenic award and the crown of Miss Schweiz, gaining the right to represent Switzerland in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant, broadcast live from Sao Paolo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.

Prior to finals night, Cook discovered her grandmother in Cambridge had a cancer recurrence, and would have to undergo chemotherapy. Unable to travel to England, Cook dedicated her participation in Miss Switzerland to her.

Here's what she had to share when Missosology caught up with her.

1.Tell us something that many people don't know about you.

The most people think I am very confident and never shy. they say I am a perfect Miss I`m not afraid of anything. But the truth is I don't show that all from the outside,  in the inside I am sometimes afraid of the public eye and I am always nervous before any event:)

2. What's inside your bag right now?

:) well there is a lot of rubbish :) no wonder I cant find anything in it. And of course my purse, iphone, lipgloss, keys and a photo of my family with my little pet :)

3. Name three things you can't live without.

I cant live without my family and friends. I think its very important to have the people you love around you. They always support me. I cant live without my photos. When I arrive in a new town I just have to take a picture. I collect old buildings and beautiful landscape.

I also cant live without my eyesight. If I think about all these beautiful things I couldn't see anymore.. that would be just terrible.

4. If you are given three wishes, what would it be and why?

My first wish would be happiness and health for my family. they have given me so much love I just want to see them happy. my second wish would be for the dolphins and wales. I am in a help organization against the overfishing. I have seen so many sad things happening. The dolphins and wales are in danger and if I could wish that the overfishing would stop I would do that immediately. My third wish would be just for one day to be able to fly. I want to experience the feeling to be free.

5. Describe the town where you grew up.

I was born and grew up in Kriens by Luzern. Luzern is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. There is a lake and all around are mountains. In winter I went often snowboarding and in summer hiking or swimming in the lake. We didn't have a lot of money so we never went on holiday. I learnt how to love that what I had.

6. Tell us about your fashion sense & style.

I did a lot of sport so I was the sporty type of girl. I dint have money to buy lot of nice clothes. Since I was crowned Miss Switzerland I discovered fashion from another side. I love wearing very elegant styles. When I go shopping I always come back home with a pair of shoes :) I first pick out the shoes I want to wear and then the clothes that fits to the shoes :) I know I am strange :D

7. Any beauty secrets that you would like to share the readers of Missosology?

I think everyone should stay natural. I never wear too much make- up. I try to bring my character in with it. sometimes less is more.

8. What is your worst quality?

OMG there are so many :D I would say I am very stubborn. I am over-ambitious sometimes. I think I have got that from my sports competition. it always has to be perfect :)

9. In a sea of beautiful universal women that shall set foot in Brazil, what would make you stand out?

I am a very natural person. I have a fresh face and personality. I am very helpful and would help others out. I always put 100% heart into my work and I never play someone I am not.

10. What's the biggest mistake that you've made in your life and what did you do to make it right?

My biggest mistake was going to a school I really didn't like studying something I never was interested in just to please other people. I was very unhappy for a long time so I just dropped out. I found another school that I loved and was allowed to study the subjects I like. That was the time I decided to try new things I was interested in ..like Miss Switzerland contest.

11. Any message for your Missosology Fans?

I am very lucky to be able to participate on such an amazing event with the most beautiful women in the whole world. But I want no one to forget how beautiful we all are inside. If you want to achieve something, just believe in yourself and try.. you will find a way to all your goals.
