Poland is a country with a
very good track record at Miss International. It boasts three title holders –
(1991) Agnieszka Kotlarska,
(1993) Agnieszka Pachałko,
and (2001) Małgorzata Rożniecka.
Only Venezuela and the Philippines
won more titles. It stands in the level with Australia, Colombia, England, and United States making Poland the
strongest East European country in the pageant.
This year Darota Gawron, fresh from Miss
Universe 2007 contest, will strive to regain the glory of her country. She is
a sports-minded woman who loves swimming, tennis and basketball. She is
interested in diplomatic studies and dreams of becoming the ambassadress of Poland to Cuba someday!
