Perhaps the most determined girls to win the Miss Universe title, most Mexican beauties in the history of the pageant were unlucky or have had a hard time going through the semifinals. While most of Priscila's predecessors have already tried to achieve something, Priscila is next in line to prove to the world that she has ways to go to win the crown. She is no different to the likes of Vanessa Guzmán, Leticia Murray or Jacqueline Bracamontes with her naturally beautiful face and superstar-like aura.

 

During the long gown competition of the Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2005 pageant, Priscila was clad in a compelling dark-pink number and proved to be a master of magnificence.

Did you Know That... Mexico is one of the few countries to take part in the very first edition of the Miss Universe pageant held in Long Beach, California in 1952? They also placed in the semifinals with Olga Llorens Perez Castillo as their representative. Their national pageant was originally called Señorita México. In 1991, Lupita Jones offered Mexico its very first and only Miss Universe crown. Later on, she was appointed as her country's national director to Miss Universe (in 1994) after establishing the Promocertamen Company that organizes the annual Nuestra Belleza Mexico. Mexico hosted the Miss Universe pageant thrice in 1978, 1989, and 1993. 

 

RECORDS SPEAK! The Mexicans only have 1 Miss Universe crown, 4 runners-up (53, 88, 89, 05), two top 5 finishes (90, 96) and 5 semifinalists (52, 56, 78, 99, 04). They have also copped the Best National Costume (71,00) & Clairol Style Awards (98,00) twice. With unbelievable defeats that hounded the country throughout their participation in Miss Universe, Mexico's dominance is firing up lately with their bets doing very well.
