In a field filled with fresh faces, Francys will be rolling up as the most recognizable Miss Universe 2006 delegate. She can be considered prehistoric in the pageant industry since she has already won for herself two international beauty titles. Still, we could never get tired of this Miss Venezuela-turned-Miss Poland who's up for that greater challenge.

Francys was born December 9, 1979 in Valencia, Venezuela, under the sign of Sagittarius. Her unique looks can be attributed to her family's roots. Her Venezuelan father and Polish mom got divorced when she was 2 years old. Most of her life, she has been living in Poland with her very supportive mother. Francys speaks Spanish, Polish, English and the Mazur dialect of Poland. She completed her college degree of Accountancy and graduated with honors in Carabobo University located in Central Venezuela. Her family owns a famous bakery in Valencia. During her free time, she loves listening to music, reading, watching movies & working out. She is a certified buff of Latin American music.

 

At the age of 15, she flew back to her birthplace. This aspiring international model topped both her first local and international pageants. In 2000, she won the Miss Turismo Venezuela title and was sent abroad to compete in Miss Tourism World. She outshone 47 delegates and won the Miss Tourism World pageant held November 26, 2000 in St Paul's Bay, Malta.    

In 2003, Francys only ended up as a semifinalist in Miss Centroccidental- a preliminary pageant for Miss Venezuela. The judges designated state titles to six girls excluding her. However, Osmel Sousa, president of the MVO, overruled the panel and ordered Francys and two other unsuccessful contestants to be sent to the capital to prepare for the Miss Venezuela 2003 pageant. After passing a series of eliminations, Francys was appointed as representative of the state of Trujillo and became one of the favorites. She eventually finished in the top ten, beating out so many contestants who placed ahead of her during the semifinal rounds of the previous years.

 

Francys got her second big break when she was appointed by MVO to represent Venezuela in the Model of the Universe 2003 contest in Ghana. She took her second international crown after defeating 28 models from different parts of the globe. 

 

In addition to her pageant toils, Francys has also nurtured a budding career as a model. She got the job effortlessly and was offered to do modeling by several talent scouts she met during her pageant stints. Later on, she took it by profession and became an in-demand model in various countries located in Europe, Asia and Central America. But she still had an ultimate goal in mind- this time to be able to participate in the Miss Universe contest.
