Jictzad Viña is a survivor. The athlete turned beauty queen survived most of her life without a father. She survived her everyday life eating only tortillas topped with butter during breakfast, lunch and supper. She survived all the headaches of being water-soaked within their cramped home every time it rained. She survived a very depressing injury that barricaded her once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of flying to Athens, Greece to participate in the Olympics. All these & more in Jictzad's own version of the "Cinderella Story."

Her frustrations were very large. She had to let go of her childhood dream of becoming a doctor knowing that money was always an issue. She only had her mom who serves as her father and mother at the same time to depend on. But for Jictzad, she has her ways to turn dreams into reality. She is naturally confident & hard-working. Jictzad found herself venturing into the sport of volleyball at the age of 12. Desperate to earn money, she took professional training as a volleyball player in Caracas. Her incredible height & drive led her to Romania in the year 2000 to undergo more extensive trainings & participate in bigger games. She spent almost two years in Europe- all for the sport of volleyball. Jictzad got doomed to failure when she injured herself during one of their practices. "My trip to Athens, Greece for the Olympics was nearing when it happened. It was really depressing to see my teammates on television. I was extremely frustrated. I didn't even bother to undergo treatments because I felt that I would never have the chance to play again." Back in Carúpano, her depression carried on. She locked herself inside her room for several days until the book "Who ate my cheese?" eventually changed her life. "Through the book, I realized that God had prepared something for me. Someway, somehow… better things would come my way."

2005 is definitely Jictzad's banner year! Not long ago, she was saddled in courts digging & spiking balls. But this tall, dark & beautiful lady is nothing short of being a stunner. She tried her luck in Carupano Carnaval Queen 2005 and won the title. With her mom behind her back, she was also determined to win the title because she didn't want the money they spent at the salon for her hair & make-up to go to waste. Fascinated by Jicztad beauty & personality, two of the judges who happen to be organizers of the Miss Sucre pageant invited her to compete in the state level. Jictzad loved the idea of competing in the field of beauty & she was confident to succeed this time around. She has taken the crucial steps toward fulfilling a newfound dream of making it to the most celebrated Miss Venezuela pageant. With her amazing perseverance to transition herself from a sportswoman to a beauty queen wannabe, Jictzad easily won her state pageant, paving way into Osmel's doorsteps.

Take note of this: Before the national finals, Jictzad had to endure at least six months of intense grooming which includes strict physical preparations inside a beauty school- otherwise known as La Quinta Miss Venezuela. Osmel Sousa, the world's most famous beauty magician & head of the beauty school works with a team of professionals which includes a fitness trainer, plastic surgeon, dermatologist and a dentist to help the girls improve on all areas of their natural beauty. They remove each aspirant's most visible physical defects as much as underlining their good features that might not be too obvious. For them, "the no-pain, no-gain quest for beauty" often means "going under the knife."

BITCH WITH THE BIGGEST EGO- Days before Miss Venezuela finals, Jicztad shocked the world when a very reliable on-line pageant journal published an article revealing that people with close ties to the Miss Venezuela Organization commented that she screamed curses when she was not chosen as the candidate with the best body during one of Miss Venezuela's sub-competitions. She was very certain that she would win the award. It was even reported that she told everyone that her naturalness was incomparable. She also had the audacity to announce to the press that she would be the new queen, based on a tip from a supposed spokesperson from MVO. Believe it...... or not?
