you
define
"beauty?"
Beauty to me comes from the soul. It is very important to stay in shape and all that but personality and intelligence define a person wherever she goes.

What
were
your reasons for joining
the
Miss
Ecuador
pageant?
The important factor that let me to enlist in Miss Ecuador was my desire to participate in Miss Universe and get to represent my country. I had done some modeling and runways before and realized how much I liked it. I worked hard to get it and this has brought me to where I am right now.
•
How were you elected as
Miss
Ecuador
Universe? Describe the judging process.
We started off as a big group of girls and after the judges asked us one question, five of us were selected. The judges asked us another question and after that they started announcing the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st runners-up, and ultimately the new Miss Ecuador.
•
What do you think are your qualities that helped you earn the
judges' approval & the crown?
I was very confident with the way I expressed my answers. I worked very hard and prepared myself well for the pageant. I knew I had the potential and
I'm pretty sure that it was what the judges saw in me
when they elected me as the new Miss Ecuador Universe.
•

To tell you honestly, my preparation is very hard. To start with, I thought that all the trainings
I've had
before
as Miss Ecuador candidate was enough. But my trip to Venezuela for further coaching did not just strengthen my expertise in runway but also gave me the right attitude and improved my public speaking skills. I still continue working for the pageant with the aid of professionals and the Miss
Ecuador
organizers.

•
What is your opinion on
activists' point of view that exposure of too much skin in the swimsuit competition disrespects women?
To me, it is not disrespectful as long as the swimsuit doesn't reveal what it
shouldn't. It is necessary for the judges to see and appreciate our beauty in order for them to make decisions because after all, this is a beauty contest.
