My cellular phone, lip gloss, wallet, cologne, a brush, keys, some chewing gum and some mini-chocolates.

• How would you define "beauty?"
Beauty comes from the inside and outside and it reflects in one's personality, sense of humor and style. Beauty can be seen in a human's individuality. I think being healthy is also a sign of beauty. And beauty is how you feel about yourself.

• What were your reasons for joining the Miss Aruba Universe pageant?
I have always loved the beauty pageants in Aruba and those worldwide. I've always dreamt of becoming one of those beauty queens. My family and many friends have told me that I possess the right qualities to enter at the Miss Aruba Universe pageant. With their support and my self-confidence, I've decided to participate in Miss Aruba Universe. It's an honor for me to represent my country.

• How were you elected as Miss Aruba? Describe the judging process.
The Miss Aruba Universe pageant consists of 2 different elections. On the first night they elect the Miss Elegance Aruba and on the second night they elect the Miss Universe Aruba. Before the final election, all contestants were interviewed by the judges so they could get to know a little about every contestant and at the same time judge the candidates on their self confidence, ability to communicate, sincerity, intelligence, discipline, character and behavior. On the final night the candidates are judged on specific  aspects such as: beauty, physical condition, personal style, leadership and contribution to the community. Finally, after all the contestants participate in the Q&A round and all judging processes were done, the new Miss Universe Aruba is elected.

• What do you think are your qualities that helped you earn the judges' approval & the crown?
My confidence. I think that is the most important quality one should have when competing in any contest. Besides my confidence, I felt that I won not just because of my physical beauty but also due to my honesty, simplicity and inner beauty.

• Tell us about your preparations for the Miss Universe contest.
I'm preparing myself mentally, physically and spiritually.

• Can you tell something that is so interesting or unique about you?
I have a great sense of humor and I have the ability to make people laugh.

• Any beauty queen/s that you really admire? Why?
I don't really have a specific one that I admire. There are many that have captured my attention. Until now I haven't had the opportunity to really meet one.

• Describe your fashion sense and style.
I always try to keep up with the latest fashion trends and I add my personal touches that illustrate elegance and femininity.

• How will you describe your country to your co-candidates at Miss Universe?
We have the most friendly, humble and warm people here in Aruba. Aruba is the perfect place to redefine relaxation; it's a place where you can enjoy the beautiful weather, crystal clear water and white sandy beaches. It's a safe place. There are so many beautiful places to visit where you can learn a lot about our traditions, history, people, culture and our famous carnival. And that it's my favorite place in the world!

• What is your opinion on activists' point of view that exposure of too much skin in the swimsuit competition disrespects women?
It's our own choice to do so. I think it shows the nature and beauty of a woman, the physical training of that person and it is also a manifestation that she does take good care of herself; therefore I don't think it disrespects women.

• Supposed there is a Genie who happens to be mad at you for a wrong deed committed and his punishment is to turn you into an animal for a year. You can't plead to alter his decision but you get to decide what type of animal, you would become, what creature would you choose and why?
I would choose to be a bird, because then I could have the freedom to fly and explore anywhere on earth.

• If it were your last day on earth, what would you eat & why?
Lots and lots of chocolate, because I love Chocolate!

• Do you have a motto or personal quote that you live by?
"Believe in yourself and you can achieve anything" & "Everything in life happens for a reason"

• Aside from winning your title, what's the best thing that has ever happened to you?
To have a lovely brother like mine. He's a great inspiration to me. I love his way of thinking, his personality, the way he always challenges himself for the best. I really admire him. He's always there to help me. He is simply the best!

• Do you think winning a beauty pageant is really important? Tell us about your responsibilities as Miss Aruba Universe.
Winning a beauty pageant is only as important as you want it to be and for me it's very important because it's a personal goal. My responsibilities as Miss Aruba are to be a beauty ambassador and to represent Aruba at the Miss Universe pageant. 

• Why do you want do be crowned Miss Universe and how would you define the title in your own terms?
It was always a dream of mine to win the Miss Universe pageant. By winning this title I can become a role model for young women. It would be a great achievement for my country and myself.

• What should pageant experts, your fellowmen, fans and beauty watchers expect from Miss Aruba at Miss Universe 2006 pageant?
They could expect a great presentation, in which I am going to give my all to promote Aruba in a positive way.
