The very long legs of an elite model with the tantalizing eyes of a female star, what could be hotter? Born & raised in a beautiful Mediterranean town, 6'0" tall Nada
has come a long way. Being named as one of her country's most beautiful women gave her the first taste of fame. She's only one strong role away from taking the most sought-after beauty title home with her.
•
What would your friends say to describe you?
I think they would describe me as a good friend and a person with a positive spirit. That I am also very
curious and determined.
•
Tell something about your childhood dream.
I'm living in a Mediterranean town and most people here are connected with tourism just like my parents. My dream then was to have my own exclusive hotel someday. I am still pursuing that dream so I need to finish my studies in the University and after that, get as much experience and knowledge on tourism and business. I hope that my Miss Serbia & Montenegro title will help me in some way to fulfill my dreams.
•
Can you share to us your beauty secret?
I'm trying to live the healthiest way I can. I'm eating mostly seafood, fruits and vegetables. I swim every day and as much as I can, I stroll in the outdoors and breath fresh air. But one thing that we have no control and cannot choose is our genetic make-up that we've inherited from our parents and this is a very important fact.
•
What is your favorite part of your body & why?
My long legs because they are enabling me to reach my goal in the quickest possible way!
•
What's inside your bag right now?
A mobile phone, mirror, lip glow, small bottle of perfume and a wallet containing photos of my family.•
How
would
you
define
"beauty?"
It is a breathtaking experience. No one could stay indifferent.
•
What
were
your reasons for joining
the
Miss
Serbia & Montenegro
pageant?
There were many side motives, but the main one was the prospect of having the privilege to become a beauty ambassador of my country- Serbia & Montenegro. And of course not failing to mention the scholarship for 4-years of studies abroad that is being offered by the contest to the winner.
•
How were you elected as
Miss
Serbia & Montenegro
Universe? Describe the judging process.
During Miss Serbia & Montenegro 2005 pageant, we first spent one month of official preparations in Greece and Macedonia. The people who accompanied us were the official Miss Yu Company team consisted of top specialists such as photographers, stylists, choreographers, hairdressers and makeup artists. Throughout that period, the finalists were observed and evaluated and this was the first part of judging process. The second part of judging process happened when we returned to Belgrade, three days before the final night. We had an official interview with the 12 members of the jury. After the interview with the panel, they decided who would be the top 10 finalists but that information was revealed on the final night. The third judging process ensued during the finals of the pageant when the jury members voted for the Top 5 finalists.
•
What do you think are your qualities that helped you earn the
judges' approval & the crown?
In my opinion, my best qualities are my education, good home manners and positive spirit, in addition to my beauty and charisma which are all important.
•
Tell us about your preparations for the Miss Universe contest.
Aside from everyday workouts in a gym, I am trying to learn as much as possible about different cultures and countries where my co-candidates are coming from. I would like to have good communication with all of the girls, and find out more from them about
the
differences in our cultures.
•
Can you tell something that is so interesting or unique about you?
Every person is unique and special in his or her own way. My qualities that set me apart are my great persistence, courage, innate positive spirit, joyfulness and gracefulness.
•
Any beauty queen/s that you really admire? Why?
Miss Sanja Papić, a former representative of Serbia & Montenegro. She won third runner-up honors in the Miss Universe 2003 pageant. Sanja is my idol and inspiration because she has a combination of beauty, intellect and charisma.
•
Describe your fashion sense and style.
I think that everybody should really care about the importance of suitable styling in various occasions. It is very important to have your own style and to wear clothes with good quality. My style is elegant in every possible way and I like to wear white wardrobe because it is my favorite color.
•
How
will you describe your country to your co-candidates at Miss Universe?
I come from Serbia & Montenegro, a country located in the heart of Europe where our neighbors include Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria and Hungary. It is a small country but we have a long history and the people exhibit strong spirit and a good sense of humor. Serbia & Montenegro is spiritually enlightened with centuries-old monasteries and churches. My nation is very special, unique and beautiful,
just
like
our
women.
•
What is your opinion on
activists' point of view that exposure of too much skin in the swimsuit competition disrespects women?
I
don't think that too much skin in the swimsuit round is disrespect to a woman because respect has nothing to do with swimsuits and clothes. People who look at women as an object and not as
an
art of nature are the ones who are not respecting her. To respect a woman is to respect her personality in the first place.
•
Supposed there is a Genie who happens to be mad at you for a wrong deed committed and his punishment is to turn you into an animal for a year. You can't plead to alter his decision but you get to decide what type of
animal you would become, what creature would you choose and why?
I would choose to be a dolphin. I'm fascinated with its intelligence, beauty, tenderness, strength and elegance. The dolphins are the most joyful creatures in the world and they have a unique means to communicate with people. Additionally, they are well known for their healing capability especially for children with special needs.
•
If it were your last day on earth, what would you eat & why?
I would eat something that I have never tasted before because I'm always eager for new experiences and tastes.
•
Do you have a motto or personal quote that you live by?
To try do something good for someone every day and to be happy and enjoy life!
•
Aside from winning your title,
what's the best thing that has ever happened to you?
Few months ago, I was in Tripoli, Libya. The most beautiful girls from Serbia & Montenegro participated in the first fashion show in the history of Libya and I was one of them. President Muamer El Quaddafi organized a rousing reception for all models. President Quaddafi personally gave each girl a golden necklace and earrings with brilliant stones as a special gift. Also, I went to see Sabrata, the ancient part of Tripoli. This trip will always be my special memory.
•
Do you think winning a beauty pageant is really important? Tell us about your responsibilities as
Miss
Serbia & Montenegro

The most important thing is to participate in the pageant and
manage
to win. I think that one of my great successes is winning the Miss Serbia & Montenegro 2005 title and it is a great responsibility for me. It is important
because this competition is not only about beauty, it
includes humanitarian work and would also greatly contribute to my future goals. It is a best way to
promote yourself and your country, and be remembered beautifully by many people.
•
