• How would you define "beauty?"
Beauty is something that everyone on this earth should feel inside. They should feel that they have beauty, because every human being is beautiful in their own way! It is more important to feel good than look good!

• What were your reasons for joining the Miss Suomi pageant?
I wanted to learn new stuff and meet new people. I felt that the pageant would give me better self-confidence on the stage and stuff like that!

• How were you elected as Miss Finland Universe? Describe the judging process.
All candidates had to meet the five judges, two times and we talked about ourselves and what we stand for. After judging us in every aspect of the competition, they elected the best one during a live TV show. I got picked!

• What do you think are your qualities that helped you earn the judges' approval & the crown?
I can't be sure but I think that maybe I am the one who was the most special looking. I am blond-haired and still looked a little bit exotic. That feature, among many other factors will make me stand out from the other delegates in the Miss Universe competition.

• Tell us about your preparations for the Miss Universe contest.
My preparations for the contest consist mostly of physical and then training and a lot of work with sponsors. I am also concentrating on all the clothes that I need to have when I arrive to the contest.

• Can you tell something that is so interesting or unique about you?
I'm always myself and I never stress out too much. I love my life and I live one day at a time!

• Any beauty queen/s that you really admire? Why?
None really... I don't want to be like anyone else- I just wanna be me!

• Describe your fashion sense and style.
I wear a lot of different kinds of clothes, and I read a lot of fashion magazines, but if there's a thing I don't like then I wont wear it! You have to be fashionable in a way that your clothes suit you and you have to feel comfort in it or else it won't look good on you! 

• How will you describe your country to your co-candidates at Miss Universe? 
Finland is a nice & secure place to live in. In wintertime, we have up to -30 degrees Celsius & in summer time, up to 30 plus degrees. Finland is a country of a thousand lakes. The place I enjoy most during summertime is the beautiful archipelago. Water, woods, snow & a warm summer– we have it all!

• What is your opinion on activists' point of view that exposure of too much skin in the swimsuit competition disrespects women?
I think it is good that people have different kinds of opinions. Life would be boring if we all have the same thoughts about everything.

• Supposed there is a Genie who happens to be mad at you for a wrong deed committed and his punishment is to turn you into an animal for a year. You can't plead to alter his decision but you get to decide what type of animal you would become, what creature would you choose and why?
I could be a dog because almost everybody loves dogs and they are so cute and lovely! And there would be someone to take care of me. And no one would eat me! (smiles...)

• If it were your last day on earth, what would you eat & why?
A huge pepper steak! It is a kind of steak that has the best taste in the world I know about!

• Do you have a motto or personal quote that you live by?
That I'm always going to be just what I am, nothing else...

• Aside from winning your title, what's the best thing that has ever happened to you?
The best thing that has ever happened to me is how blessed I am to have been surrounded with great people and friends all throughout my life!

• Do you think winning a beauty pageant is really important? Tell us about your responsibilities as Miss Finland titleholder.
I don't think I have these huge responsibilities, but what I want to do is to show people, most especially young girls, that you can be your self and still "survive" and that you don't need to be the smallest existing being to have a great life. If you like yourself, other people will do so. But of course, you should not love yourself excessively. 

• Why do you want do be crowned Miss Universe and how would you define the title in your own terms?
I like to win because the fact that Finland won the Eurovisions, I will also win Miss Universe and make this a great year for my country, a year no one will ever forget! So I won't do it only for myself, I will also do it for my country! 

• What should pageant experts, your fellowmen, fans and beauty watchers expect from Miss Finland at Miss Universe 2006 pageant?
They should expect that I will do my best and I hope that it is enough! I will bring some exotic Scandinavian-Finish beauty to the competition. 

• Finally, leave a message for your fans, supporters and the readers of Missosology.
I hope that all my fans will stay by my side until the end! More importantly, I hope that we'll have a wonderful Miss Universe this year, whoever she is! We have to support and be happy for each other!
