Germany's Asli Bayram has a great combination of exotic looks & go-getting personality that continues to dazzle thousands of Thais. These attributes enhance her sun-kissed beauty of Turkish descent, which is fairly first rate. Shapely yet trim, she kept her svelte body in peak condition through sports that she passionately pursues such as karate, swimming
& roller-blading.

What three words best describe you & why?
Vivacious, because I am outgoing and a positive-thinking person. I'm happy with myself. Loyalty- because I grew up in a big family and everybody is there for each other. My upbringing ingrained in me the loyalty that I have today. Inquiring-mind as I am always eager for knowledge. I'm very curious about many things and that's one of the reasons why I always played as detective when I was a child.
• What was your childhood dream?
First to be a detective, then an actress and singer, and then to be an eye-doctor.
•
What were factors that led you to enlist at the Miss Deutschland
2005 pageant?
Because I loved the stage! I was always fascinated about beauty queens who were chosen not only by their physical beauty but also by their intelligence and talents.
•
What is your impression on beauty contests prior to participating in
one?
I've always known that a beauty contest entails much work and preparations before the show since I took part in a theatre-study-group in my school for many years. Represent her country with her beauty and intelligence is one of the possibilities that the winners get after a beauty pageant and that has always fascinated me.
•
Can you put in picture the judging process that you went
through as a contestant of Miss Deutschland pageant?
I was one of the 22 finalists chosen from 2,800 girls. From 22, they we were cut down to 6 finalists after doing well in a talent show, bikini, evening wear and interview portions. The 6 finalists randomly chose a question. After that round, I became Miss Germany. It was one of the heights in my life that I will never forget.
• What do you think are your qualities that
helped you win the Miss Deutschland 2005 title?
My humor, sharp wits and my smile. My multicultural upbringing and the fact that I studied law gave me good impression to other people. I tried to show them what the most important thing in life is. I'm also a member of an organization that counsels victims for many, many years. It's very important for me to help other people. Another important thing about me is that I'm sporty.
•
Is winning a beauty pageant important? Tell us about your
responsibilities as
Miss Germany.
Yes, because I have to be an idol for German women. I also became an ambassador for my country as I took part in this international pageant representing Germany. I've also attended other official functions. But the most important responsibility for me is being a goodwill ambassador for my country and help other people with my title the best way I can.
•
Describe the ideal woman, and tell me what she has in common with you?
The ideal woman to me is my mother. She is very helpful, sporty, independent, humorous, confident and loyal. I'm also independent, confident and loyal like her. I give my best to help other people and I'm uniquely humorous.•
You are still very young and learning... but what do you think is the best lesson life has ever taught you?
There is no age to stop learning. The best lesson I have learnt is to be ready to learn and to practice what you have learnt. Also important about learning is being able to learn out of experience.
•
What is your opinion on activists' point of view that exposure of too
much skin in the swimsuit competition disrespects women?
I disagree! Nobody will take part on this beauty pageant if it's immoral. It's a decision that every girl freely makes. These activists don't respect our decision as a woman.
•
If you were the President of your country and right before you is a bill passed by Congress allowing Human Cloning as a legal procedure in the country, would you sign the bill or refuse the whole thing?
I will refuse to sign the whole thing. Every human being is an individual. That is a law of nature and of
God. To create a new human life in an unnatural way is cruel. It is an indescribable way of torturing because human cloning is a means of doubling or copying another person. The fact that everybody is different and an individual is one of the wonderful things in the world should be respected.
•
What are your passions in life?
I'm lucky for any little thing in the world. I love to spend my time with my family. I love the entertainment! I also love doing sports such as karate, dancing, swimming and roller-blading. Great parts of my passions are the entertainment and music. I love singing and painting too. Last but not least is that I love to put on an act.
•
Can you tell something that is so interesting about you?
I am open for many things and I think positive and believe in my dreams.
•
How did you prepare yourself for the Miss
Universe pageant?
I do all the regular things that I do, for example
sports.
•
How
will you describe your country to the rest of the world?
Germany is a country that gave my family a chance to start a new life. Germany is also very clean, very safe and education is free. We have a good-structured & liberal society. The women have the same equal rights as the men. Germany is very modernized and we have a lot of organizations that
help out people. In Germany, everybody has a right to live a dignified life which is considered as our basic constitutional law. So Germany can be a shining example in many things for other countries, taking in example the structure of our law.
•
How would you define "love"?
Love for me is not only a
word, it means much more: respect, honesty, faithfulness, fidelity, loyalty, helpfulness, safety, trust and freedom.
•
Do you have a motto or personal quote that you live by?
"Demand a lot from yourself and little from others."
•
What is your greatest goal in life?
My
greatest goal in life is simply to experience & enjoy life and not have any regrets.
•
What should pageant experts, your fellowmen, fans and beauty watchers expect from Miss
Germany at Miss Universe 2005?
They should expect the same that they would expect from a sister, a girl-friend, a wife, a mother, because I’m just a woman, like all the other women in the world.
•
Finally, leave a personal message to Missosology readers.
