What made Natalie extra special during the preliminaries is her unique appeal and androgynous gaze. With unmistakable electrifying eyes, and an easy ocean sway on the catwalk, she can easily walk her way to the title.
1st Runner-up: Miss Puerto Rico, Cynthia OlavarriaTopping Missosology's hot picks consistently, Cynthia eventually settled as our "alternate Miss Universe 2005." It is a known fact that Missosology's yearly top favorite flops so we decided to play it safe this year. Cynthia's charismatic beauty & personality is the main reason she has had the admiration of Thai locals, experts, beauty-watchers & journalists covering the grand event in Bangkok. She isn't everyone's cup of tea, but only a few will dispute her beauty. During the swimsuit competition, Cynthia played with the audience by putting on provocative poses. On the other hand, she managed to pull off sophistication in her black gown.
2nd Runner-up: Miss Venezuela, Monica SpearIt's precisely Monica's angelic look that makes her so alluring. Clad in a spectacular white gown, she demonstrated an aura of perfection as she glided onstage. Not only does she have a pretty head, she also has a pretty good head on her shoulders & she is just about to redeem the lost glory of Venezuela at Miss Universe.
3rd Runner-up: Miss South Africa, Claudia HenkelIt would be very hard to ignore Claudia. With a height of 6' leveled with mesmerizing ice-blue eyes, there's an explanation to her success as a model. Though she gives off sharp aura, this South African treat is a true extrovert. This brainy future lawyer proved to us that she is very capable of capturing the crown!
4th Runner-up: Miss Antigua & Barbuda, Shermain Jeremy
The combination of "enticing" and "nice" is a fatal one and Shermain certainly plays it up for all it's worth, whether it's with a seductive glance or a sway of those curvy hips. Her swimsuit & gown presentations were superb!
Top 10 Finalists
Top 6: Miss Thailand, Chananporn Rosjan
Now that she's concentrating on making her country proud, Chananporn is on solid footing and her admirers don't just consist her fellowmen. This graceful Thai beauty proved that she knows how to put on a show. We are confident that the hometown girl earned a semifinal spot.
Top 7: Miss Peru, Debora Sulca Cravero
Talk about spunk! Debora's stage presence demonstrated how much of a Latina she really is. The best thing about her is that the character she projects is not an act; she really is as gregarious & energetic as she appears.
Top 8: Miss Latvia, Ieva Kokorevica
Maybe it's the sophisticated look on her face with the blonde hair. Or it might be her curves that tingle us inside. Ieva has the right features & qualities that will make an ideal Miss Universe.
Top 9: Miss Chile, Renata Ruiz
Here's a designer's dream! Chile's Renata has that nymph-like magnetism that would fit perfectly beside any supermodel. We were totally in awe of her malleable countenance, curvaceous stature and confident walk during the preliminaries.
Top 10: Miss Colombia, Adriana Tarud Duran
On the catwalk, she has a fire that flickers around her. Adriana was fiery during the preliminaries and it was like seeing a self-possessed woman that exudes sensuality & drips with feminine power!
Top 15 Semifinalists
Top 11: Miss Dominican Republic, Renata Soñé
This exquisite specimen of feminine beauty wishes to be the next top international model. She made effortless steps to be noticed in the competition.
Top 12: Miss Philippines, Gionna Cabrera
Though she occasionally misses the mark, the Philippines' bet is typically a class act and one of the most engaging candidates in the competition. The way she carried her tasteful gown deserves our approval.
Top 13: Miss Serbia & Montenegro, Jelena MandicJelena's apparent simplicity makes her natural before the lens. She has done very well in swimsuit & she sported such a fabulous gown! And in the end, that's really all we need to include her in our list.
Top 14: Miss Greece, Evangelia Aravani
Evangelia has a knack for attracting attention and always seems to be at the center of things- thanks to her physical beauty. She's even more beautiful in person than in still pictures.
Top 15: Miss Japan, Yukari Kuzuya
Japan makes yet another fashion-statement in Miss Universe. Yukari stunned everyone when she appeared in an outrageous gown that totally hid her svelte figure. We still believe that Yukari's risky move was a showstopper & we are also risking a spot in our predictions by including her in our list!Alternates
